The camera purchase (finally setting on the Nikon Coolpix 990)! Is there really such a big difference between chargers? Is it worthĭoing hours of research on this? I already spent WEEKS researching Quick chargers - that they weren't as good as the slower chargers. MAHA rechargers, and one note which discouraged people from buying Tonight I looked thru this forum and found lots of comments about the

It takes about 1.5-2 hours to charge them. Also bought 4 of their NiMH Rechargable batteries ($17.99įor 4). Last week I bought a "1-Hour AA & AAA Battery Charger" at RadioShack.

I would keep the Radioshack charger, much as I recommend the MAHA (it came with a FREE car lighter adaptor which is nice when on a long road tour, to keep the spare sets ready. After about 20 charge cycles they last approximately (see above) as long as when I bought them. One reason I consider the charge rate to be well within the batteries limits. Others have reported batteries getting hot, not here. I would consider a 2 hour a medium charge. I dont recall seeing the MAHA advertised as quick charge. Cant tell the difference really as I dont keep books on either the time or the number of pictures I get from a fresh set. I use both MAHA batteries and Radioshack. Charge time does not bother me one way or the other (always do it before I retire). For what its worth, I bought the MAHA C204F and like it.
